Last year, we had the privilege of advising on the completion of the largest real estate transaction ever carried out in Jerusalem: the acquisition of 570 dunams for NIS 750 million.
The properties—spanning Talbiya, Rehavia, Nayot, the Valley of the Cross, and the Liberty Bell Garden—include public institutions, cultural landmarks, hotels, and approximately 1,000 residential units.
This historic deal involved unique legal complexities: leasehold rights granted to KKL JNF in the 1950s were set to expire within 25 years, creating significant uncertainty for residents, local businesses, and the State.
Alongside our commercial advisory role, our firm represented Extell in a petition to the High Court of Justice filed by a group of residents. Attorneys Zvi Agmon, Renad Eid, and Deuel Peli successfully represented Extell through the approval of an agreed framework regulating these rights.
This milestone approval lays the groundwork for one of Israel’s most ambitious urban development initiatives—helping shape the future of Jerusalem.
We are proud to have been trusted partners in this journey.
