About the department

Today’s business environment is saturated with regulation, and corporations must adapt their activities in order to meet multiple complicated regulatory requirements across various fields. Laws, regulations, regulatory guidelines and the expansion of these duties by the courts impose countless operative obligations that apply to each and every corporation based on its characteristics and activities.

Regulation is one of our firm’s main areas of specialization and it falls in close connection with the activities of the different departments. Our attorneys specialize in conducting proceedings before Knesset committees, government ministries and other regulatory bodies, and provide counsel and full representation before all regulators active in Israel.

Lawsuits, heavy administrative fines, media crises and even criminal and administrative investigations against companies, and sometimes even against their executives, are only the tip of the iceberg among many risks of facing any corporation that wishes to operate in Israel. The firm’s Regulation and Enforcement Programs practice represents companies from a wide range of sectors in formulating enforcement plans and encouraging a transition from an after-the-fact defense to compliance and proactive steps to reduce risks in advance.

We represent many companies with regard to implementing and applying existing and new regulatory provisions and in administrative proceedings before the various regulators. In addition, we represent our clients before the Knesset committees in legislative processes and discussions of proposed regulatory provisions (orders and regulations).

The preventive regulation department, which was established as part of our extensive expertise in regulation, helps its clients get to know the regulatory environment their company operates in, to map out and conduct in-depth analyses of the risks they are exposed to, to perform informed prioritization, and to weave out a set of creative, holistic solutions, customized to the needs and character of the company in the form of a thorough enforcement plan.

Within this framework, we have developed an innovative technological system called LawGorithm, which consolidates all operative provisions applicable to companies from the various sources of law.
