Amendment to the Medical Information Portability Law, 5784-2024 – Client Update – July 2025

On July 6, 2025, an amendment to the Medical Information Portability Law, 5784-2024 was published (the “Amendment“).
The Amendment significantly expands the categories of entities authorized to receive medical information, adding the Medical Corps, Prison Service Medical Department, and various public bodies to the list of authorized recipients.
In this Client Update, we review the Amendment and its implications for entities subject to the expanded medical information transfer requirements.
