“The lawyers know the best industry practice” (Chambers Global).

"They are unique experts in the energy market" (Chambers Global).

Israel is in the midst of a protracted infrastructure boom. Over the last two decades a series of large-scale infrastructure projects have transformed the economy, spurred the development of new sectors, and created new opportunities for local and foreign companies. The energy sector in particular has expanded exponentially over the last decade, becoming a very significant component of the Israeli economy, mainly due to the massive natural gas discoveries off the country's shores. The transformation of Israel from a country with limited natural resources to one with substantial and hugely important gas reserves has had a considerable impact on the industry’s key players.

Agmon & Co. Rosenberg Hacohen & Co. is a leader in this field of energy and infrastructure projects, consistently ranked Tier 1 in this practice area by Legal 500 and Chambers. In recent years the firm has been involved in many of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in the country, including projects in the area of natural resource extraction, energy production, fuel distribution, electricity, public transportation, water desalination, solar energy, waste disposal, telecommunications, and large-scale zoning and planning projects.

The firm is an acknowledged pioneer in the energy sector, having worked with the country’s leading energy companies on all major natural gas discoveries since the beginning. We advise the Yam Tethys project (Israel's first offshore gas discovery), the Tamar project (the world’s largest natural gas discovery in 2009), the Leviathan project (which in 2010 was the world’s largest discovery of the decade), as well as other smaller onshore and offshore discoveries in the region.

We advise clients on all aspects of infrastructure projects, including tender bids, representation before regulatory authorities, project finance, project construction and operation, disputes with government authorities, and commercial contracts. In the last year alone our firm has acted as lead counsel on infrastructure-related transactions with a combined value over $20 billion and project finance transactions in excess of $4billion. We are recognized for our unique experience and the innovative way we structure transactions: “The lawyers are very professional. They think outside the box and can achieve things that not all the others can” (Chambers Global).

In addition to the transactional, financial and regulatory advice we provide, clients are also able to tap into a range of related professional legal services in fields including securities and capital markets, antitrust, planning and construction law.

Our client roster includes energy companies, construction companies, water desalination companies, renewables specialists, public authorities, EPC contractors, investment companies and financial institutions, all of whom benefit from our extensive experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects as well as our thorough understanding of the industry and developing regulations.

Our in-depth experience, broad skillset and the strength of our relationships in the energy sector give us the commercial credibility to help our clients achieve their objectives and ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry.
