Biography

Ehud (Udi) Arad is a Partner and Head of our Commercial Law Department at our Tel Aviv office.

Ehud (Udi) has more than 30 years of experience and is considered one of Israel’s leading legal minds in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, high-tech and intergenerational transfers of property and assets. Udi has extensive experience in leading complex transactions and representing domestic and foreign companies and business executives. He is known for having a broader picture of the client’s needs, acumen in analyzing the interface between business and law and innovative solutions to challenging situations. Udi advises the boards and management of public and private companies, at strategic junctures and when it comes to complex business-economic decisions. In recent years, Udi has taken these proficiencies  to arrange comprehensive intergenerational business transfers among his clients.

His client base includes early-stage companies, mature companies requiring legal advice in determining growth strategies around the world, technology companies in their various stages of growth, and companies that manage financing, flotation or merger agreements. Udi also represents foreign underwriters, local and foreign investment funds and advises on their establishment.

Udi joined the firm as a partner through the successful merger with Arad & Co., a boutique firm which he headed and from which a team of partners and attorneys accompanied him.

  • Acted as Israeli consultants to Cantor Fitzgerald in the approximately USD 193 million NASDAQ share offering for the Nano X medical device company, which has developed an advanced X-ray machine.
  • Advised the Canadian company Vertical Scope, which operates a variety of Internet communities, in three significant acquisition transactions. Part of the deal saw the company acquire Hometalk Inc., together with its Israeli subsidiary, for a total of approximately USD 38.5 million.
  • Counseled the Hammermen Construction company in a transaction for the acquisition of rights for a luxury refurbishment project of three buildings in the center of Tel Aviv.
  • Provided consultation to the Generation Capital Fund in a transaction for cooperation in the field of logistics storage with Friedenson Logistics Services Ltd. As part of the transaction the Generation Fund acquired 50 percent of the joint company for approximately ILS 70 million.
