Adv. Itay Hass joined Agmon & Co. Rosenberg Hacohen & Co. as a partner in 2018, and is the Head of the firm's  Insolvency Department.

Itay advises on all aspects of insolvency law, including corporate restructuring, liquidation, proceedings regarding the responsibility of officers, individual debtors (bankruptcy) and receivership proceedings.

In his previous position, Itay served for five years as the director of the legal department of the Administrator General and Official Receiver Unit of the Ministry of Justice. In that role, he represented the unit in proceedings in the Supreme Court, was involved in complicated cases in district courts throughout the country, shaped legal policy and published instructions and procedures for the unit's attorneys and position-holders (trustees, liquidators, etc.), and gained wide and unique experience and expertise. Itay was a key partner in the formation and wording of the Insolvency and Rehabilitation Law, 2018, and in presenting its principles and meaning before various private and governmental forums.

Itay is frequently invited to lecture before different forums on the various issues of insolvency law on which he works.

Before his role at the Ministry of Justice, Itay headed an independent firm for some 10 years, working in the fields of civil and commercial law with a focus on insolvency. He served as a trustee and a liquidator in hundreds of cases, and represented debtors and creditors. He also provided ongoing counsel to corporations and not-for-profit organizations, as well as to public bodies such as the Securities Commission.

In parallel to his work, since 2014 Itay has been a lecturer in insolvency law at the Law School of Sapir Academic College.
