Biography

Israel Attar is a partnet in the real estate and urban renewal department at our Jerusalem office.

Israel handles a large portfolio of real estate projects for the construction of thousands of housing units throughout the country. He acts for purchasing groups and developers in various residential and commercial projects. Israel also provides regular advice on various types of real estate transactions, from land acquisition, financing and banking support to real estate taxation matters and registrations at the Land Registry Office and the Israel Land Authority (ILA). In addition, he is in the care of various issues related to development fees and betterment levies, including representing entrepreneurs and individuals in appeal committees and providing representation in contractual engagements in local government development agreements.

Israel acts for private entrepreneurs in large-scale residential and commercial projects, including ISA, JTLV, Ram Israel, the Hassid brothers, Ganei Argaman, Bustan Arnona and more. He regularly represents and provides counsel to purchasing groups for residential construction in large projects and developers in agreements with local authorities.

In addition, Israel represents private landowners in real estate transactions and renewable energy companies on ILA issues and real estate taxation.

  • Advised entrepreneurs in projects for the construction and marketing of thousands of housing units throughout the country in which many hundreds of families have already been accommodated.
  • Counseled entrepreneurs in projects for the construction of commercial centers, including marketing and rental of commercial space.
  • Acted for purchasing groups, including about 1,300 housing units in the “Ahisamakh” neighborhood of Lod. The group is currently in its final stages of occupancy.
  • Represented private owners and handled complex real estate transactions, including combinations, exchange and cash transactions; provided representation in transactions for the sale of land for infrastructure facilities (such as Pi Glilot terminals) and consulting for renewable energy companies in real estate and real estate taxation.
  • Handled real estate transactions in ILA lands, including permit fee assessments and allotment of real estate for renewable energy projects and real estate for industry.
  • Managed appeals against tax assessments and improvements and appeals in real estate taxation.
  • Represented private entrepreneurs and landowners in development agreements with local authorities.
