Biography

Gilli Brooks Varon is a partner in the firm’s litigation department at out Tel Aviv office.

Gilli deals with various litigation cases with an emphasis on class action.

Gilli has extensive experience in conducting class action proceedings and in ongoing civil-commercial regulatory consulting for companies on a variety of issues, among others: energy, insurance, communications, accessibility and consumer protection.

Gilli’s clients include corporations in many sectors: construction companies such as Shikun & Binui, Rothstein, ICR; fuel companies including Paz, Delek and Sonol; insurance companies such as Harel and Clal.

  • Gilli began her work at the firm as an intern and was admitted to the Israel Bar Association in 2006.
  • Gilli has a LL.B and LL.M (cum laude) in law.
  • Gilli is an active academic and lectures in courses and attorney training programs of the Israel Bar Association in the area of class action.

  • Represented all five of the largest petroleum companies in Israel in a class action involving many claims linked to a variety of issues, primarily environmental protection and consumer protection. Damage of nearly ILS 2 billion was asserted in the certification motion, which was concluded with the applicant dropping all of his arguments;
  • Represented the Economic Company of the Israel Builders Association and many construction companies in class actions;
  • Represented clients in complex mediation procedures;
  • Regularly provided advice to Paz in the application and implementation of applicable regulation;
