Biography

Dror Savransky is a partner in the litigation department at our Tel Aviv office.

Dror has been dealing with complex commercial litigation cases for the past 25 years, gaining expertise specific to class actions.

Every year, Dror handles a large volume of motions for approval of class certification regarding a variety of consumer and economic issues.

Thanks to his rich experience and knowledge in the field, Dror has served as a mediator in various class action cases – a unique field that requires not only mediation between the parties, but also, and perhaps most importantly, a “fair and proper” agreement for members of the represented class

Dror successfully advises companies and corporations from a variety of sectors, against which motions for approval of class certifications are filed, and he has been responsible for concluding a long list of such motions in the most favorable manner possible

His clients include major companies with an emphasis on insurance, finance, energy, retail, construction and communications, all of which he acts for in certification motions from the fields of consumerism, accessibility, securities and more.

Dror lectures at many class action forums and is a leading instructor in this field on behalf of the Bar Association and other bodies.

  • Advised major petroleum companies in Israel with respect to various permit applications, including a huge project, which combined five different motions, and ended with a dismissal without prejudice after the first hearing.
  • Provided counsel to a leading insurance company in different cases, including a claim that was approved as a class action and ended in the claim’s dismissal on the merits.
  • Acting for the Israel Builders Association with a large certification motion that ended with it being summarily dismissed.
  • Counseled cellular companies in  motions for approval of class certification filed against them on a variety of issues.
